Divine Mercy Chapel

This church is thoughtfully and delicately designed in every detail, using natural light as the primary element to shape its atmosphere—from the soft glow of the morning, through the direct light of midday, to the warm hues of the evening sun. Each phase of light reveals a different dimension of the design, creating a dynamic and evolving spatial experience throughout the day.

The building’s form is distinguished by rhythmic layers of red precast concrete panels, arranged with a sense of strength and balance. These elements interact with light and shadow to create depth and a vibrant architectural expression. The concrete surfaces are finished with KEIM Concretal-Lasur in shades 9001, 9008, 9010, and white, applied through various levels of color mixing and dilution. This technique allows the colors to appear soft and integrated with the concrete, avoiding a heavy or overly rigid appearance.

The resulting tones feel natural, refined, and visually calming, enhancing the building’s overall warmth and serenity—qualities well suited to a sacred space for religious ceremonies. Beyond aesthetics, KEIM Concretal-Lasur offers exceptional durability: the finish does not peel or fade, is non-toxic, and ensures safety for all users.

This church stands as an example of architectural design that harmoniously balances beauty, functionality, and sustainability. It reflects ESG principles through the selection of high-quality, long-lasting materials that are environmentally responsible and supportive of long-term use.
