ENGEL HAUS CLUB HOUSE

The Club House at ENGEL HAUS is designed as the focal point for community leisure and social gatherings. Developed by Life and Living, the project prioritizes an inviting, natural atmosphere tailored to residents of all ages.

From material selection down to fine architectural details, the project highlights environmental sustainability and long-term user well-being. This includes using Zero-VOC wall finishes to ensure a safe, non-toxic environment for everyone—from young children to elderly residents.

Harmonizing Concrete with KEIM Concretal-Lasur

To enhance the structural concrete surfaces while maintaining their authentic tactile qualities, the project specified KEIM Concretal-Lasur in a warm natural brown shade (Tone 9103), blended with KEIM Concretal-Lasur-Fixativ. Diluting the stain created an optimal translucent effect, allowing the pigment to mineralize into the concrete substrate without concealing its natural texture.

Key Aesthetic and Design Advantages:

Preserved Material Integrity: Unlike heavy, opaque coatings, the semi-transparent mineral stain allows the underlying concrete texture to show through naturally.
Dynamic Interplay of Light and Shadow: As natural daylight shifts throughout the day, light hits the textured, stained concrete to create subtle depth and soft tonal variations.
Soften Structural Harshness: The natural warm brown tone tones down raw concrete’s industrial feel, infusing warmth, calm, and a direct connection to the surrounding landscape while maintaining clean, modern architectural lines.
